Listening to your inner voice is it easy?
I remember as a child I was very inquisitive about the world around me. I spend most of the time observing the enchanted nature and its creations. The colours use to mesmerize me and kept me involved to explore. Growing up I was proactive and punctual needless to say I was academically strong. The urge of exploring the colours supported me to take a decision of becoming an “Artist”.
But not everything is so easy, coming from a doctor’s family I had high expectations. I don’t think parents crush their children’s dream, in fact they want their children to have more secured life with all the possible comfort in life.
I remember my conversation my conversation with my father when I told him that I wanted to become an artist…there was silence in the room for a while and my father told how he been imagining me to become a doctor as he came from the same profession. But I had a decision to make which way to go …I struggled to convince my father and I heard my inner voice which helped to take bold step to become an artist..
I graduated from the fine art college in 2000 went for higher studies in 2D animation and diploma in art education. After waiting for several years I heard the first a complement from my father, it made me cry with happiness and contentment.
I could only stay firm in my commitment because of real good connect with self. I believe my artistic spirit becomes stronger as I paint watercolours every single day. Though I paint in my other mediums, I choose watercolours because I feel they are “Magical”.
For than 18 years I worked in various professions as an animator, designer and a teacher. Over the years I have gained the unique expertise and immense knowledge in the art field. I want to help people to discover the self-connect while they joyfully explore the magic of their creativity. No matter which profession they choose, I help them to listen to their creative voice and gain confidence and become proficient in art to start their creative journey of their dreams.
